The DoWMAT is a growing Trust, currently with 15 academies throughout Worcestershire and Dudley. Our academies are vibrant, exciting places to work; with staff deeply committed to providing their pupils with the best educational experiences possible.

Teaching can be tough - there is so much to do and be aware of, so many demands and so many people needing your attention! Planning lessons, collecting resources, marking and providing feedback to individual children takes up time and it is important to get these right. But there are lots of other demands at the same time that can be challenging to manage – behaviour, children with additional needs, observations, dealing with parents, the list can seem endless – and relentless.

At DoWMAT, we want to make your first few years as memorable as possible – for the right reasons; for knowing and being able to recognise that you are making a difference in the lives of all pupils within your class. Above all, we want to do all we can to enable you to develop and maintain a work life balance that is rewarding and allows you the time and space to reflect.

Our termly ECT network meetings will give you the chance to meet with ECTs from other schools in the Trust, discuss best practice and gain support from our experienced team of school advisers.
