Why Train with Us?

The Diocese of Worcester Multi Academy Trust is committed to providing a high quality, school-based training experience for those wishing to take this exciting route into teaching.  The final qualification is for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

We provide a strong connection with placement schools and extensive subject knowledge support; to ensure a ‘joined up’ approach to the course. Trainee wellbeing is a priority and we look to work closely with you to ensure our programme fully matches your need at every step along the way.

The primary programme is based in a school from the very beginning and all programmes of study closely follow the National Curriculum. Each successful applicant should be prepared to teach across two primary phases; KS1 and KS2. Applicants will be given a full opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding at the interview and selection stage.

We are able to guarantee excellent support for trainees, offered by our outstanding teachers and caring primary schools; all committed to providing you with the best school placement experience. Subject knowledge support is offered across all core areas, as well as specialist subjects, to include art, history, geography, physical education and religious studies.

Trainees will be based at the Diocese of Worcester Multi Academy Trust Training Rooms and the University of Worcester for training blocks, in addition to two placements at contrasting DoWMAT schools.
